Amanda G. Highlander, an Edwardsville native, joined Byron Carlson Petri and Kalb, LLC in the summer of 2011. Her practice focuses on estate planning, probate, commercial litigation, and real estate transactions.  Before joining BCPK, Amanda gained experience practicing in the areas of creditor's rights and bankruptcy.  During law school, Amanda served as a Guardian Ad Litem in child welfare cases while participating in Washington University's Civil Justice Clinic.  She interned, both during law school and while earning her undergraduate degree, at the Madison County State's Attorney's Office in Edwardsville.  While in law school, Amanda was awarded the distinguished Golden Quill Award for best brief in the Wiley Rutledge Moot Court Competition, elected president of the Women's Law Caucus, and named winner of the 1L Client Counseling Competition.
